2014 Geneva Motor Show: Mazda Hazumi Concept
Story and photos by John LeBlanc GENEVA - Sharing a platform with the Fiesta. Mazda’s subcompact Mazda2 is one of the last remaining vehicles from the Japanese automaker’s days of partnership with America’s Ford (the other is the CX-9 crossover). But if the new Mazda Hazumi Concept that debuted here in Geneva is any indication of what the next Mazda2 will become, it looks like the little hatchback will be “all Mazda” in the future. Adopting Mazda’s current Kodo “Soul of Motion” design language, the Hazumi Concept looks like a proper little brother to the compact Mazda3. As well, the show car incorporates the Japanese automaker’s Skyactiv fuel-saying technology (highlighted by a new, small-displacement clean diesel engine, the Skyactiv-D 1.5), Proactive Safety systems and next-generation Mazda Connect*2 car connectivity system.03.06.14 | 2014, Auto Shows, Geneva, Mazda, News | Comments Off on 2014 Geneva Motor Show: Mazda Hazumi Concept
