2014 Geneva Motor Show: 2015 Ferrari California T
Story and photos by John LeBlanc While it’s hard to claim the first Ferrari California was ugly, let’s just say that the challenges of packaging the brand’s first folding hardtop into a sports car created some less than beautiful details for the designer’s at Italy’s Pinanfarina. But the Italian design house has resolved a lot of the original’s problematic looks with the revamped 2015 Ferrari California T coupe/convertible that also ushers in a more fuel-efficient turbocharged (that’s what the “T” is for) V8. Ferrari’s so-called entry level model, the California T is now powered by a 3.9-litre blown eight-cylinder that makes 560 horsepower and 557 pound-feet of torque, addition’s of 70 hp and 49 per cent more torque than the outgoing 4.3L naturally aspirated V8. Ferrari claims 0-100 kilometres per hour takes only 3.6 seconds, yet fuel economy improves overall by 15 per cent.03.06.14 | 2014, 2015, Auto Shows, Ferrari, Geneva, News | Comments Off on 2014 Geneva Motor Show: 2015 Ferrari California T
